Programs at Rooted Outdoor Education
At Rooted, we believe that meaningful learning happens through deep connection—with nature, with community, and with self. Our programs are designed to meet children where they are developmentally, emotionally, and curiously—while guiding them toward resilience, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning.
Alongside our nature-based approach, we are deeply committed to academic growth. Our curriculum integrates the BC Learning Standards through inquiry-driven, hands-on experiences that make core subjects like math, science, literacy, and the arts tangible and relevant. Whether tracking biodiversity in the forest or storytelling around the fire, our learners develop foundational skills and critical thinking in ways that are engaging, purposeful, and connected to real life.
We offer a blended-age approach where children learn collaboratively, honoring each learner’s strengths and supporting peer-to-peer learning in a warm, intentional environment.
